There are several things that substantiate this as the correct record despite some of the inconsistencies.
- Samuel's last name (Predy) could easily be a phonetic spelling which was common at the time.
- Mary's name is exactly the same.
- Mary's father's first name is what is expected.
- The marriage date is precisely correct.
- The city is correct (Gloucester, England)
All together, the preponderance of evidence implies this is the correct record with some interesting tid-bits of additional information.
- Is Morris her father's middle name, or last name?
- Is Predy how their name was spelled in England, and thus the genealogical dead end?
