      James Palmer was married to Mary Ann Price, daughter of Thomas and Mary Price of Gloucestershire, England, at Liverpool, by George I. Adams, minister of the gospel, on the 14th day of March, 1842, and next day embarked on board the sailing ship Hanover, Captain Drummond, Master, bound for New Orleans. My parents had preceded me about two weeks and traveled on the sailing ship, John Cummins, also bound for New Orleans. Our Family all met at our destination, Nauvoo, Illinois, sometime in May 1842.
