It appears there were two John Forrests blessing baby's at St Peter in Leeds in the 1710 to 1730 time frame. It may be impossible to separate out which child is which as they do not have the mother's name listed. | Family: John Forrest / Barbara Sinkland (F5964)

It looks like Clarence may have left Hazel and moved to Denver. Because of the timing, there is very little in the record to support this other than the birth record of the infant (his full name is spelled out), and Hazel having "Cherry" as her last name in the 1910 Census.
Looking at Clarence only, you would never even put him in Utah.
This needs further clarification and research.

It looks like there are 3 or 4 John Smethursts in the area of Oldham at the same time. They were having children all at the same time too. This could get very difficult to pull out which siblings belong to which parent.

Jane E. Wilson is buried between Samuel Priday and Mary Priday. There are also two children, Jennie and John William Wilson. I believe they are her children. I will continue to look for documents to support this, but it seems the most logical conclusion, and is consistent with the non-authoritative information available. | Priday, Jane E (I8264)

Letter from Leonard J. Jordan - August 14, 1890
S. S. "Wyanoke," en route to Norfolk, August 14, 1890.President George Teasdale.
Dear Brother,--Our voyage from Queenstown to New York was quite a pleasant one, but some of our people suffered from seasickness. The officers on the Wisconsin were very kind. We reached New York yesterday, about 11 a.m., and had to hurry to catch the steamer starting at 3 p.m. After some trouble we passed the custom officers, who were very strict. We got our money changed, and passed the examination officers all right, and soon reached the Old Dominion Dock.
We have to record that a young girl named Elizabeth E. Gee, whose father in Utah had sent for her, through listening to false advisers and their misrepresentations, turned back or was kept to be sent back. She did not belong to the church.
We expect to reach Norfolk this afternoon. We are pleased to record that Mr. Gibson and Mr. Tenbroeck's assistants were very kind, and did all they could to help us on our journey.
Praying for triumph of the great cause, and with kind regards to yourself and all at "42," [42 Islington WAS THE ADDRESS OF THE BRITISH MISSION IN LIVERPOOL] I remain your brother in the bonds of Christ,
Leonard J. Jordan. [p.557]

Name transcribed from Winter Quarters Wards Membership Lists 1846 - 1848. Taken from a variety of historical sources. They are not complete, and because of the difficulty reading handwriting, may not be entirely accurate. Most of the lists seem to be from the winter of 1846 - 47, but some are from later. In addition, people often moved to better housing, thus changing wards. Sources for these lists are: bishop's reports, high council meeting minutes, tithing records, and 'census' reports of widow, soldier's wives and other unassigned members of wards. The original records are available at the Historical Department, Archives Division, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City Utah.

COMMENT:
1. Since Martha's husband, Vinson, died in 1842, the records show the property being sold in 1846 by Martha Knight.
2. 26 January 1846 Martha was sealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith for eternity.
3. 26 January 1846 Martha was sealed to Heber Chase Kimball for time.
4. In 1920, descendents of Vinson Knight petitioned President Joseph F. Smith to restore Vinson's family to him. This was done and the families sealing to the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr. was nullified.
