Rhea Gentry Richfield, Utah
Rhea Evelyn Jensen Gentry, 77, passed away February 25, 2006 in Richfield, Utah. She was born June 18, 1928 in Richfield, Utah to Irvin and Evelyn Roberts Jensen. She married, Mack Gentry November 17, 1946 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died May 8, 1995. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many different capacities. She worked more than 20 years at Sevier Valley Hospital. Rhea was full of energy and life, serving many years as the president of the Woman's Bowling Association and also served in and was president of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She co-owned and operated a meat packing business with her husband, which goes back to 1955. The business is still operated by the family as Mack's Pack, located on the Annabella Road. She was an aspiring artist in oil and ceramic. She loved to garden and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and would help anyone in need. She is survived by children, Sandi (Thomas) Sturgis of Snohomish, WA, Susan Gentry of Kaysville, Maxine (Robert) Long of Morgan, Richard Gentry of Cedar City, John (Suzanne) Gentry of Richfield, Mary Nielson of Monroe, Margaret (Dal) Hawks of Richfield, Jim Gentry of Richfield, Mickey (Cassie) Gentry of Central Valley; 44 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nira Vay Eikrem of West Valley City, Carol Grooms of Richfield. She is preceded in death by parents; brother, Keith Jensen; sister, Mona Lou Gentry; granddaughter, Katrina Gentry. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, March 1, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 7th LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Tuesday evening from 6-8 and at the ward chapel Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial, Richfield City Cemetery.
